Winter Park Resort, Denver: A Year Round Resort

An hour and a half drive from Denver, Colorado is the Winter Park Resort. It is has three interconnected mountain peaks namely – Winter Park, Mary Jane and Vasquez Ridge. Winter Park Resort is a year-round resort.

Every winter, Winter Park Resort offers different activities such as snowshoe or cross-country ski, snowmobiling, ice skating, tube down the Fraser Tubing Hill, Horse-drawn sleigh ride and Dog sled ride. The snowshoe/cross-country ski is held either in Devils Thumb or Snow Mountain Ranch. Snowmobiling tours to the top of the Continental Divide may be either guided or un-guided tours. Rentals are available for Ice Skating near the Cooper Creek Mall.

When summer comes again Winter Park Resort does not close to wait for the coming of the next winter. As a year-round resort, it is still available to cater to summer fun as well. There are lots of reasons to check the resort during this season, aside from the amazing scenery; tons of fun-activities are waiting too.

Colorado River is waiting for everybody and it is ready to provide the fun of Rafting. To add up to the excitement, it is awesome to know that the resort is also available for activities such as mountain biking, alpine slide, miniature golf, human maze, bungy jumping and wall climbing. That’s not just it; the resort has three lakes, the Lake Granby, Shadow Mountain and Grand Lake, all ready to host the water sports.

For this year, Winter Park Resort will add more for more fun and relaxation. Two restaurants and two hotels will be opening by January and an open-air cabriolet will be available to transport skiers from the Vintage Hotel parking lot straight to the heart of the village.
